Iran has once again shown what it thinks of the United States and European plan for their uranium enrichment. This time they are going a little farther and they could have raised the stakes considerably. Our problem is that Obama has no clue on what to do with them.

The latest Iranian move which was to announce that they we start further enrichment of their own uranium should have stopped the clocks in the White House, but I’m sure it didn’t. You need to understand that the danger here is that Iran is saying they will enrich uranium to a 20% level, experts agree that if Iran can get to 20% they can get to 90% which is weapons level. Most experts are also saying Iran has enough uranium to make at least one nuclear bomb now, couple that with their growing ballistic missile capabilities and you have real trouble in the making.

Here is something most don’t understand and no one tells them. The reason why this is such a big deal is that the original plan was for the Iranians to give their uranium to either France or Russia who would then enrich it to a 20% level and turn it into fuel rods. Once that was done further enriching the uranium would be very difficult if not impossible for the Iranians. So the Iranians decided why tie themselves down with 20% fuel rods, they will enrich it themselves and can go well past 20%. All they did was to completely cut off the entire deal on enrichment.

Yes Iran is violating United Nations resolutions but they don’t really seem to care do they? All the Obama administration is doing is talking about new sanctions. Even the Secretary of Defense had to come out try to calm people. Gates started by telling people that he believes sanctions may still have the time to work. Great, this coming from the administration hack who kind of was the guy Obama and Gibb’s eluded too about not sending the troops that were requested during the Bush administration, everyone blamed Rumy but in fact it was Gates. I don’t think that has ever gotten cleared up. Gates is simply guessing that we still have time, time for what? Iran has taken steps to guard against our potential sanctions and is moving ahead at warp speed. What Gates was doing was explaining the Obama administrations grand plan and hoping to buy time for Obama to come up with it.

In the end Obama is still worried about his health care plans, his cap and trade and now immigration reform. The truth is that if the Iranians get a nuclear weapon none of it will matter. I’m sure if the Iranians do get a bomb Obama will blame George Bush as he does for everything else. The problem is they will still have the bomb regardless of who gets blamed.

Somethings never cease to amaze me. Only Obama could take something like giving the Department of Home Land Security a 3% increase in funding and then find a way to completely screw that up. It takes practice I guess.

Obama’s proposed 2011 budget asks for a 3% increase for home land security which is great, a little small but still moving forward. Then as if it was nothing he cuts funding for the Border Patrol and ICE Agents as well as the money for the completion of the border fence. The reason given is that the money needs to be spent on the airports and the scanners they need. So lets see here, we can’t have both? The amount of money wasted on studying the mating habits of Chinese Carp and other “worthy” programs could fund our national security needs in many areas.

The Obama administration has the ability to snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory I swear. They feel the need to tighten the security at airports which is fine by itself but how do you explain the fact that we are cutting border enforcement at the same time. Does the Obama administration believe terrorists only come into America on planes? How about a nuclear weapon coming into the country by crossing the Mexican border? Which is more likely to happen. A nuke coming in through Mexico or a nuke coming in on a plane? How about our ports, like Los Angeles or New York.

Is this just the first step in another Obama sell out. Selling out the security of the country for political gain. He is cutting border enforcement at the same time the liberals have introduced their version of immigration reform. That version includes amnesty for illegals by the way. Maybe Obama sees a way to get voters into the Democratic party, look how he is handling the entire census operation with a big push on minorities in certain areas of the country. I don’t know if that is what he is thinking but at this point would it surprise many people to think so? The answer is sadly, no.

Moves like this demonstrate either total incompetence or something else, a planned move with a desired end result. In either case this is yet another perfect example of what this administration seems to do best, which is take one step forward and then two back.

I picked this video simply because it shows her common sense approach to things, including our national security. Sarah Palin seems to have an ability to connect with people when she speaks. Granted, she is not a law professor nor is she trying to be. She made the point well, the United States needs a Commander in Chief as a president, not a law professor giving lectures to people.

That is really the key here when dealing with Obama. He goes around explaining the reason people aren’t backing his policies is because he has not explained them well enough. So he goes on the lecture circuit and just keeps either repeating the same thing over and over or his favorite trick comes out, blaming George Bush. Neither of which is playing too well these days. People do understand what he is saying, this is not a college exam were people either pass or fail some kind of test. This is for real and the person who is failing the test is Obama, not the American public. The professor is crashing, not the class.

National security is something Obama does not get. Sarah Palin is absolutely right, we need a Commander in Chief, as such the person must take responsibility for his or her actions and stop blaming any and everyone other then themselves. We have an Attorney General in Eric(renditions)Holder who has repeatedly shown a complete lack of understanding in how to protect the United States. He is one of Obama’s closest pals, its time for him to go. We can’t do anything with Obama for a couple more years but when its time, Sarah Palin is absolutely right, he needs to be replaced by a Commander in Chief, not a community organizer or even a law professor.
