US Intelligence agencies are concerned over the possibility that Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula under Anwar Al Awlaki, have cells inside the US that have gone operational. Al Awlaki a radical Muslim cleric in Yemen, born in the United States, had contact with the Fort Hood Shooter, Jihad Jane and the Christmas Day Bomber. US officials are saying that they believe that Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula has gone operational, that assumption seems to be a little late in coming.

Officials are saying that the recent arrests are just the “tip of the iceberg”. That’s even better news. If you recall the Secretary of Home Land Security, Janet Napolitano, warned of her concern over improvised explosive devices being used in the US a few months back. Also recall last month when the Directors of the CIA, the NSA and the Director of National Intelligence all agreed in a public hearing that the odds of America being attacked within the next six months was 100%.

With this latest report surfacing last week it is becoming clear that the country is under a pretty severe threat at this time yet we see nothing in the news but health care. Al Awlaki has ties to what the intelligence agencies reported as hundreds of people inside the United States. Still we see health care. Two more arrests last week of Americans and all we see is health care. Add to that the five American Muslims Pakistan is charging with plotting to commit terrorist acts in Pakistan last week, and yet we see health care.

America is being threaten as it has not since before 9/11, yet for obvious political reasons the main stream media will not spend a lot of time covering it. When George Bush was in office that’s all you heard, now with Obama, silence. That’s fine, we all understand the media bias. The issue is here that the public is not being told  how real the threat is. When people talk about corruption in government and in the media, this is the lead story, they just don’t know it yet.
