Conservatives Defending Liberty

This sounds like something out of a comedy show. Last year Obama comes out a pulls the Bush administrations plans to deploy a missile shield in Poland and the Czech Republic, he announces his plans on the day the Russians invaded Poland in World War 2, how nice. Now we have the Secretary General of NATO, General Anders Fogh Rasmussen telling reporters in Poland last week that “We must develop an effective missile defense”, are you kidding me? He continued, “In the coming years we will probably face many more countries and possibly even some actors armed with long-range missiles and nuclear capabilities”. No, really? I wonder if he cleared this with team Obama? Is it just me or does it look like everybody is understanding whats going on in the world except Obama?

It gets better, “While logical people can be deterred from launching an attack, not all actors we will have to deal with in the future will be rational”. Again, what a stunner! Do you think that maybe, just maybe he is talking about Iran? When Obama came into office he was going to show the world an entire new era of US foreign relations, and he has. A completely inept one. Obama stabbed two of our best allies in the back last year, Poland and the Czech Republic. Obama was busy kissing up to the Russians, who still oppose the idea by the way, so he pulled the interceptor missile program from Eastern Europe. Now less than a year later NATO is coming out saying what everyone already knew. The establishment of a missile shield is needed because Iran and terrorists are attempting to get nuclear weapons and already have missiles at their disposal.

You do realize that if Obama was not such a putz he would be doing something to stop Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons? You do realize that what Obama did last year was to undo exactly what NATO is now saying is needed? And the best part is that its for the exact reasons Bush was placing the missile shield in Eastern Europe in the first place. So what did we miss here? I got it. Another Obama foreign policy screw up, buy hey, when you think you can walk on water whats a mistake here or a mistake there? Besides, he got a Nobel Peace Prize right?
