Conservatives Defending Liberty

Its really pretty simple math. If the house democrats resort to the use of the as they are now calling it, The Slaughter Rule, they will loose an extra ten to twelve house seats. Why does that number matter? Again, simple math. Most experts are saying the the Republicans will gain between 27 to 30 seats this fall in the house. They need (40) forty seats to gain control from the Democrats. This removes Queen Nancy from her post as Speaker of the House. 10 or 12 seats is a huge difference in the battle for the balance of power in Washington. Democrats know this, that’s why they are still out there trying to gain support for the Senate Bill. If they are going to simply try to ram this bill through, why go to all the trouble to get votes from moderate Democrats? Because this is not the nuclear option, this is thermo-nuclear war.

Pelosi doesn’t care a rats ass if she sacrifices Democrats to get this bill, but she does care if she gets sacrificed. Right now of the wavering Democrats approximately 15 of them are coming from traditional Republican districts, many voting for either McCain in 2008 or or near all voting for George Bush in 2004. Many of these Democrats got swept in by the waive the liberals had built up against Bush. The waive has hit the shore and they are in trouble now, we can not forget that the tide has turned against the liberals and progressives in all areas of the nation. If the Democrats ram the bill through using a back door tactic, they may think they are not voting on the health care bill itself, but in reality they are. Their constituents are not stupid and are following this vote daily. The perception that the Democrats are already using reconciliation in the senate has angered people and created what is seen as a corrupt attempt to pass a bill Americans don’t want and they do not have the votes for. Now Democrats in the house are trying a little trick of their own.

The backlash against Democrats this November will live up to its name, a slaughter. This tactic could very well cost them control of the House of Representatives and they know it. Obama and Pelosi need to ask themselves what happens of the Republicans get the house back? Don’t think the stain of this move will leave the senate untouched, oh no. At least two more senate seats will fall to the GOP if these tactics are used. Again, experts are looking at a 4 to 6 seat pickup for the Republicans. If these types of methods are used it will tip the scales in any close race such as Pennsylvania, where Arlen Specter is finding himself in a hard race against conservative Republican Pat Toomey. If people in Pennsylvania get the idea they have been hosed over by the maneuvers Democrats are trying, they will vote on mass against Democrats, any Democrat. A loss of 6 to 8 seats in the senate would make life very interesting for Obama and his future supreme court pick’s wouldn’t it? Imagine what the Republicans in the house could find once they control the ethics committee? That should be interesting.

If liberals use these tactics they will loose at least 65% to 75% of those vulnerable Democrats in the house. With that loss the Obama presidency is over, and in the true spirit of Rush, Obama will fail.
