The Department of Homeland Security appears to have a little problem telling the truth. Janet Napolitano, the Secretary of Homeland Security just can’t get her hands around all the problems she is having with the border. A few months back she was out blowing off about how during Obama’s first year in office that deportations of illegals aliens by ICE was up by 47%, the only problem is that its not true. A revised number just came out showing its more like 5%, and that included voluntary returns.

The Department of Homeland Security estimates that the illegal immigrant population is down by 1 million people in the past two years. How exactly they know this I am not sure. What I do know is that 5% is hell and gone from 47%. The scary part is that this number includes what are called voluntary returns, which as the wording implies is more or less people just wanting a ride home. This is being caused by the lack of jobs, not the strict enforcement by ICE. Obama’s 2011 budget is actually cutting the border patrol’s funding. I guess after Napolitano did such an outstanding job he felt he could afford a few reductions. The problem is like many things with this administration, its not true.

The best part is that with her vast experience in national security Obama can rely on her to handle anything that may come up. Wait a minute, Janet Napolitano doesn’t have any experience in national security, that’s OK, Obama doesn’t have enough experience to be president either and it shows more and more everyday. I mean its not they are protecting the entire country or anything, right?
