People never cease to amaze me. Senators Chuck Schumer(D) and Lindsey Graham(R) have proposed a new workers identification card that every American would be required to have. This is their start on the immigration issue. Are you kidding me? A national workers i-d card for American citizens. Lets see how that has worked in the past, try Nazi Germany and the former Soviet Union, papers please! You have a right to privacy, with people like this is office its amazing they haven’t tried this sooner. Using an issue such as immigration to try to curb those freedoms is below contempt. This is not about immigrants having these cards its about American citizens be forced to have them.

These two poor excuses for legislators want to have each American worker required to have a bio metric identification card. They didn’t say immigrant workers on green cards or temporary visa’s. No, they want to issue them to American citizens. You know I don’t agree with the ACLU often, but in this case they are against the idea as well. Schumer is saying its a start at immigration reform, he is a complete fool. American citizens should not be forced to compromise their rights to stop illegals from coming in the country, period. Graham is totally confused, he says Americans have social security cards now, and this is relevant to issuing Americans with nationwide bio metric identification cards that could be swiped in a computer terminal anywhere in the world so the government knows where you are at all times, how? These two senators have forgotten what the constitution is all about. One word, freedom.

This is another step towards the big government, big brother approach that our government seems to be adopting. This is not about Republicans or Democrats, this is about the lack of understanding real American values. So now we have national workers cards, next they want a national medical card, soon they will be asking for a national system to track your cars when they are in use. Whats left of your privacy when they get done? Left or right, people like this have no business representing free Americans. This is not a fascist or communist nation, no matter how hard they wish it was. These two are a perfect example of what has gone wrong in our country. The less power these people have the better for the rest of us. The day a government official comes up to you walking down the street or at your job and says “Papers Please” will be too late to fight for your freedoms. That day is now and judging from this, freedom is under fire from both sides of the aisle.
