Conservatives Defending Liberty

I have waited for the dust to settle on the whole bringing the 9/11 terrorists to New York City for trail issue, before I said anything. I think after watching the liberals over the past few days, now its time to set the record straight and stop a bunch of whining and spin.

First, isn’t it kind of funny how Obama tossed Eric(renditions)Holder under the bus and left the country when the announcement was made, funny how that happened. I guess he just can’t take a bunch of questions because he’s not here, gee I’m stunned. Second, Obama knows full well what he is doing is painting a bulls eye on New York, like they need any help with that. There is no reason to expose that city to undue risk, period. Third, this is a return to a pre 9/11 attitude that got us hit in the first place. We are now saying that this was a criminal act, not an act of war. The odd part of this is that even Bin Laden said it was an act of war against the infidels, that would be us. We have heard about the failure to connect the dots, now we don’t even have dots to connect. Fourth, what about the 9/11 families themselves? Did he take into consideration how they would view this and how they would feel? Granted, the law is not about feelings, but neither is trying to appeal to your liberal base who wants this show trial.

Obama’s decision is based on politics, plain and simple. He wants to put the Bush administration on trial for what he believes they did wrong. The real question is who is he? Obama knows that the trials will go on for years and it will be a circus. Further, with the rules of evidence that must now be followed we may not be able to get a conviction against these men. Obama knows this as well. He is trying to set a precedent that this is the way things should be handled from now going forward, if he can do that he thinks it a victory. Also and don’t overlook this, Obama will need to send troops to Afghanistan in some form or another, when he does that his liberal base will get really upset, this is a peace offering to them. They have wanted to put Bush/Cheney on trial and he is giving it to them. In his mind if this plays on into the 2012 election cycle so much the better. It will feed his re-election with his base on an issue that really fires them up. This is simply an attempt to put the sources and methods we used in the past to keep the country safe, on display. Holder and Obama know full well what this will do to our intelligence services. This is the same type of actions taken during the Clinton administration and what did we get for it. The first world trade center bombing, the attacks on our embassies and the bombing of the USS Cole. I thought this type of behavior by any administration was a settled issue years ago, now like a nightmare from the past, we are at it again.

Obama is placing New York City at risk, he is undermining our ability to defend ourselves against terrorist attacks and he is dragging the United States through the mud in order to benefit himself politically. Say what you will, this is a pure naked political move Obama learned in Chicago, Obama has not learned that in order to be a real leader you have to lead, not sneak out of town to go to your pals in China to beg for money.
