What do the 2 Governor’s Elections Really Tell Us? Its not About Bush Anymore, Its About Obama Now
People will debate the meaning of the off year elections over and over. Yes Republicans won the governors seats, one in a very blue state, New Jersey. Here is the telling story of the elections, in both states they wanted a chief executive that would fix the economy and get jobs back to their states. When you look at the exit polls, health care never got above about 25%, as the most important issue. In both states, is was jobs, the economy and taxes.
For months Obama has been cry like a baby about what he inherited from Bush. For a few months that’s going to play. Now its time for him to step up and do what he and many liberals aren’t good at, take responsibility for his actions. People are getting information from all kinds of sources now, not just the main stream media. Even with the media not be aggressive pushing him on his performance, Obama’s real track record is starting to get out. He has been in office for going on 11 months, he was elected a year ago and his transition team was at work the day after the election. These are facts. Obama blames Bush for the original TARP Bill, true Bush should not have done it, but Barrack Obama voted for it in the Senate. Obama tells people he doesn’t want to own the care companies, again Bush did the first bailout and again, Obama not only wanted it he worked with the Bush administration on not letting GM or Chrysler go under. The deficit is now over $1.4 Trillion, it was approximately $450 Billion when he came into office. He promised unemployment would not go over 8% if he got his stimulus bill, which he did. The problem is that unemployment is nearing 10% and we are being told by his administration that the biggest push from the stimulus has already occurred.
I’m not going near his dismal failure and complete lack of a coherent foreign policy. To use a famous line” Its The Economy Stupid”. Obama is focused on his health care plan to the point were the entire economy is on the skids. You can only blame Bush for so long, its over now. Rasmussen had a poll a day or two ago that showed Bush and Obama about the same on who is to blame for the economy. That’s the worst news Obama is getting, worse even than the two governors races. His agenda and his plans and actions are starting to stick. No matter how much the media carry him, when people don’t have jobs, when people can’t buy anything because they have no money, no real recovery is possible. When people can’t pay to send their kids to school, or they get a car repossessed or maybe loose a home, they are not going to be looking in the rear view mirror saying its the other guys fault. Obama’s approval ratings are now in the high 40’s, the only reason for that is because the people who support him have nothing in the game or they are so rich they don’t care. There is no middle in his support.
One thing is for sure, its all about Obama now. Not a good thing if your Obama. Maybe he should spend a little more time relaxing playing golf or something. The big win for the Republicans is the fact that America has woken up, and their mad.
